Principal Cloud & Distributed Systems Architect
Lead technical strategy and architectural execution for ultra-resilient multi-region cloud infrastructures, Kubernetes clusters, and zero-trust service meshes across enterprise clients.
Core Technical Scope & Deliverables
In this role, you will be directly responsible for system correctness, operational stability, and technical leadership across the following dimensions:
- Architect zero-downtime multi-region cloud infrastructures spanning AWS, GCP, and bare-metal hybrid clusters.
- Define Kubernetes deployment patterns, service mesh (Istio/Linkerd) topologies, and high-throughput ingress controllers.
- Conduct formal architectural design reviews (RFCs) across engineering squads to eliminate single points of failure.
- Implement immutable Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, OpenTofu) pipelines with zero configuration drift.
- Establish automated chaos engineering experiments and disaster recovery verification protocols.
Engineering Prerequisites
We evaluate candidates against demonstrated systems experience and sound foundational thinking:
- 10+ years of software architecture experience designing high-availability distributed systems.
- Deep production mastery of Kubernetes orchestration, container runtimes, and Linux kernel networking.
- Expertise in Terraform/IaC, GitOps (ArgoCD/Flux), and multi-cloud networking architectures.
- Demonstrated track record authoring technical RFCs, architecture blueprints, and mentoring senior engineers.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Background
- Contributions to upstream Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) open-source projects.
- Production experience with eBPF-based observability (Cilium) and FinOps cost optimization.
